Home: Questions and Answers: Is the King James a bad translation?
Question:

Is the King James a bad translation?

Answer:

No, not in my opinion. In fact, I think the KJV is an admirable translation that has served, and still serves, God's people well. I will say, however, that I believe it is an antiquated translation when it comes to the English language, and modern day Christians should not have to familiarize themselves with Elizabethean English from the 17th century in order to read God's word.
